How to re-apply Durable Water Repellent (DWR) to your jacket

DWR is a water repellent coating which is applied to the surface of the fabric and encourages water to bead and roll off.

If your garment is no longer beading water, you may like to try washing and drying it first as this can help to restore the DWR performance, as a build up of dirt, sweat and body oils can have an effect. If you’ve washed your garment and water is still not beading you will need to re-apply DWR. This can be easily done in the washing machine or as a spray treatment. We recommend Grangers or Nikwax, and these products can be found online or in most Outdoor retailers. Please follow the instructions on the manufacturer's packaging.
